
| My art is mostly observational work. I draw from real life and try to capture a sense of form and beauty in what I create. I do not take my art or myself too seriously; I just enjoy drawing and painting when I am inspired to do so. |

Biography:
| Sergio Morua-Martinez was born in Trenton, New Jersey in 1986. His artistic education was fostered at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, and at Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy. This academic portfolio ranges from 2004 through 2008 and includes different mediums, including oil paints, charcoals, inks, watercolors, photography, and prints. Many of the works are observational studies. He has worked as an arts editor of his university's student-run magazine, Medium; served as president of the art club; and also as a painting teacher at one of New Jersey's top premier day camps, Black Bear Lake. He has previously worked at Wordsmyth in Ithaca, New York, to help illustrate a children's dictionary. He is now enrolled in a Master's program in Adolescent Education at Hunter College in New York City. |
